The engineer performs complex bridge and structural design and plan-preparation work, supporting transportation projects through calculations, drawings, estimates, reports, and coordination with project teams and clients.

What you'll do

• Prepare structural engineering calculations, quantities, sketches, and layout drawings
• perform bridge geometry work, including COGO geometry
• provide client service
• participate in project-site visits, status meetings, and public meetings
• may perform bridge inspections as abilities permit
• support other offices as needed. Travel is required as it relates to duties or as directed.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, 5+ years of related experience, PennDOT project experience, and a Pennsylvania PE license or ability to obtain one within six months. A master’s degree and 8+ years of experience are preferred.
