Substance Abuse Counselor / Counselor Assistant

The Substance Abuse Counselor / Counselor Assistant role is onsite in Dayton, OH, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule and a choice of 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Pay is $20–$26 per hour, plus monthly bonus potential. DeCoach Recovery provides addiction treatment using evidence-based therapies and individualized treatment plans. The role supports clients experiencing substance use and co-occurring behavioral health challenges through assessment, counseling, coordinated care, crisis support, and timely clinical documentation. It contributes to individualized treatment and clients’ progress toward sustainable recovery.

What you'll do

• Complete client assessments and individualized treatment plans
• lead group counseling sessions
• coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
• support clients in crisis and connect them with resources
• maintain clinical records
• participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision
• provide respectful, culturally competent care.
