What you'll do

• Buy feeder cattle
• plan and coordinate cattle logistics and yard schedules
• maintain supplier relationships and resolve pricing, quality, and delivery issues
• advise management on market conditions and supply risk
• oversee purchasing documents and assist with billing discrepancies
• input hedge orders
• visit feedyards biweekly
• negotiate discounts, schedules, and payment terms
• evaluate cattle performance and closeouts
• maintain and grow the beef-on-dairy program.
