Registered Nurse (RN), Pre/Post-Op — PRN

The Registered Nurse (RN), Pre/Post-Op role is onsite in Des Peres, MO, on a PRN basis, typically one to two days per week as needed. The office is open Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with occasional earlier or later hours as needed. Compensation is not specified. The position supports St. Louis Eye Surgery & Laser Center, part of EyeCare Partners’ clinically integrated eye care network. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care in accordance with applicable standards and center policies. The role contributes to safe, coordinated perioperative care by supervising or assisting personnel in the operating room, maintaining accurate records, responding to patient needs, and communicating with patients, families, physicians, and staff.

What you'll do

• Supervise and direct patient care in an operating room
• ensure accepted techniques and practices are followed
• comply with HIPAA and patient-rights requirements
• coordinate, communicate, and maintain continuity of care
• assess, prioritize, plan, and implement patient care
• maintain accurate medical records
• participate in continuing education, staff meetings, and the Q.A.P.I. program
• follow physician orders and management directions
• assist with training new staff when needed.
