The Director of House of Charity role is onsite in Spokane, WA. Pay is $90,000–$92,000 per year. House of Charity provides shelter and supportive services to more than 150 adults experiencing homelessness, and Catholic Charities Eastern Washington’s mission is to feed the hungry, heal the hurting, and welcome the stranger. The director provides strategic and operational leadership across shelter, medical respite, resident client programs, facilities, food services, staffing, and finances. The role supports safe, continuous services through staff development, compliance, budget oversight, community partnerships, and after-hours emergency leadership.

What you'll do

  • Lead House of Charity operations and supportive services
  • oversee staff and volunteers, facilities, food services, administration, and budgets
  • identify and address operational, safety, financial, and compliance risks
  • support trauma-informed staff practices
  • monitor program performance and outcomes
  • maintain operational systems and regulatory compliance
  • oversee emergency preparedness
  • manage grants, contracts, reporting, and financial performance
  • represent the agency in community partnerships
  • serve in an on-call leadership capacity for after-hours emergencies.
