Patient Service Representative

What you'll do

• Greet patients and notify clinical staff of arrivals
• answer and direct calls
• assist with medical history and information forms
• verify demographic and insurance information and required authorizations
• collect copayments, coinsurance, and balances
• explain financial and insurance requirements
• verify benefits
• scan and upload documents into the EMR
• schedule and confirm appointments
• prepare charts
• communicate delays
• balance cash drawers
• protect patient privacy under HIPAA
• maintain an organized front office.
