What you'll do

• Review plans, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements
• perform material take-offs for lumber, millwork, building materials, windows, doors, kitchens, and related products
• solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• prepare estimates, proposals, and bid packages
• clarify project details with sales representatives, project managers, and customers
• recommend alternatives or value-engineering solutions when appropriate
• maintain pricing information and vendor relationships
• track estimates and bids
• maintain project records.
