Principal Engineer - Overhead Transmission Line

The Principal Engineer designs and creates construction drawings for high-voltage overhead transmission line projects. This is an onsite role based in Lakewood, CO, with compensation ranging from $150,000 to $190,000 per year. This role exists to serve as a subject matter expert in transmission line design and construction practices. The engineer provides technical guidance, quality assurance, and final approval for engineering deliverables, ensuring project goals are met while mentoring team members.

What you'll do

• Serve as SME, provide technical guidance/QA, act as Engineer of Record, design overhead transmission lines (69kV-500kV), perform structural/foundation design, prepare technical specifications, conduct engineering analysis, mentor team members, perform independent reviews, support construction, collaborate with project managers, ensure compliance, perform field work, interface with stakeholders, review vendor submittals.
