The Music Teacher – Guitar role is an onsite, part-time position in Towson, MD. Pay is $19–$21 per hour. School of Rock is a performance-based music education community that teaches music through shows and aims to enrich students’ lives. The instructor teaches guitar and supports lessons and rehearsals that build musical fundamentals and life skills. The role contributes to student learning through thoughtful instruction, lesson planning, communication with families, and participation in the school’s music program.

What you'll do

• Provide private music lessons and support shows
• teach music fundamentals
• create and document lesson plans
• communicate with parents about student progress
• remain visible and accessible to students and parents
• assist with rehearsals and basic school maintenance
• pitch in during canceled lessons in overall program execution
• follow the Code of Conduct and safety and monitoring policies.
