Project Engineer

Job overview

The Project Engineer works in a hybrid arrangement, onsite three days per week, in Erie, PA or Flippin, AR; candidates must be local to one of those locations. Pay is $70,000–$95,000 per year. The role supports Essentra’s New Product Introduction projects and reports to the Custom Solutions Manager. The engineer manages assigned projects from commercial quoting support through tooling development, production launch, and closeout. By coordinating technical, cost, schedule, and supplier activities, the role helps deliver custom solutions that meet customer expectations and transition successfully to Operations.

What you'll do

• Support part costing and quotes with the Commercial team
• prepare and review part, tooling, and engineering-change estimates
• lead Design for Manufacturability reviews
• obtain and review tooling quotes
• coordinate tooling design and construction
• manage schedules, budgets, and technical risks
• communicate project status and requirements
• follow ISO 9001 and internal procedures
• coordinate production launch and project close
• travel as required, up to 10%.
