Health Educator

Job overview

The Health Educator role is onsite in Corona, NY, with flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends and travel to off-site locations. Pay is $27.58 per hour. The educator works under a Health Educator Supervisor to deliver CAPP/PREP programming through Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities and its school and community partners. The educator delivers evidence-based health education for youth and families, including adolescent sexual health and pregnancy prevention, and connects participants with relevant health and support services. The role also supports program goals through outreach, reporting, workshops, and collaboration with community organizations.

What you'll do

• Complete required orientation and program training
• deliver evidence-based programming with fidelity
• conduct community outreach and education
• complete timely reports and workshop evaluations
• provide referrals to family planning, health, and support services
• maintain relationships with community and faith-based organizations
• conduct youth and caregiver workshops
• support youth development activities and maintain client records
• attend meetings and trainings
• travel to off-site service locations.
