Service Technician

Job overview

The Service Technician role is onsite in Newport, VT, with service work at customer locations. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour. Track Inc services and maintains customer- and company-owned equipment, including groomers and related machinery. The technician diagnoses, repairs, maintains, replaces, and installs equipment in the shop and on the road. The role helps keep equipment in good working order and supports customers through service recommendations and demonstrations of proper operation and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Service and repair assigned equipment
• perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• keep accurate daily work records
• maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
• suggest additional repairs or service recommendations to the service manager
• maintain a clean and safe work environment
• travel to customer locations for service and repair
• take and fill parts orders as needed
• demonstrate proper vehicle operation and maintenance to customers
• assist the Parts department with orders and customer needs
• work overtime during winter months as needed.

Why this role

Requires mechanical aptitude, basic SAE and metric hand tools and toolbox, basic computer skills, forklift operation experience, and a clean driving record. Hydraulic, hydrostatic, and welding experience are preferred. Must be able to lift 50–75 pounds and be willing to travel and work weekends. Annual schooling for specific vehicles is listed as a non-essential duty.
