Water Chemistry Analyst

Job overview

The Water Chemistry Analyst role is onsite in Ferndale, Washington. Pay is $20–$24 per hour. The position is full time and works in the water chemistry division of the General Chemistry Department at Exact Scientific Services. The analyst conducts water chemistry testing and data analysis, maintains equipment and sample workflows, and follows established procedures and quality controls. The role also provides backup support for other chemistry analyses and helps communicate sample status and delays that may affect clients.

What you'll do

• Conduct water testing and data analysis, including ion chromatography, oil and grease, TOC/DOC, and chlorophyll
• support other water chemistry tests as a primary or backup analyst
• organize sample retains and perform sample preparation and preservation
• maintain water collection supplies
• maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment
• follow SOPs, EPA methods, safety, and quality controls
• perform proficiency testing and enter data in LIMS
• communicate sample tracking and delays
• support laboratory cleaning, organization, and supply restocking.
