Senior Identity Operations Engineer — Hybrid

The Senior Identity Operations Engineer role is hybrid in Seattle, WA, with four days onsite and one day remote each week. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Pacific Time, and pay is $77.46–$88.02 per hour on W-2. The role supports Nordstrom’s identity and access management across a hybrid, multi-cloud environment. The engineer manages identity lifecycle operations, access requests, provisioning, and automation using Microsoft Entra ID and SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. The work improves operational efficiency, security, and compliance in collaboration with architecture, HR, ITSM, application-owner, and security teams.

What you'll do

• Process joiner, mover, and leaver requests
• operate SailPoint ISC and administer Microsoft Entra ID
• troubleshoot HR-to-identity provisioning and synchronization
• handle privileged access requests with approvals and audit trails
• conduct access reviews and prepare compliance evidence
• develop automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Python, SailPoint APIs, and workflows
• build event-driven automation
• analyze ticket trends
• maintain production-quality automation
• develop runbooks and knowledge articles
• provide service-desk escalation support
• and participate in incident response and escalation coverage, including after-hours support as needed.
