What you'll do

• Repair and modify rotomold tooling
• weld steel and aluminum mold defects using MIG and TIG
• grind and finish repairs to the cavity profile
• verify dimensions and surface finish with precision measurement equipment
• interpret blueprints and repair instructions
• improve molds to reduce quality and productivity issues
• maintain repair supplies
• inspect tooling and confirm repair scope
• clean and polish mold cavities
• replace gaskets, fasteners, vents, and inserts
• document mold history
• coordinate design changes with engineering
• assist newer technicians.
