What you'll do

• Source and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
• analyze sales records, trends, seasons, weather, and economic conditions to forecast buying patterns and inventory needs
• review costs, quality, reliability, delivery, and urgency
• set and adjust selling prices
• manage inventory turns, rotation, and quality
• inspect produce as needed
• coordinate with sales, warehousing, distribution, store teams, and suppliers
• visit stores as needed
• plan displays and signage
• monitor handling, replenishment, markdowns, and quality issues
• purchase repack materials
• prepare inventory and profit reports
• attend meetings to coordinate promotions.
