Staff Accountant

Working under the Director of Finance & Contracts, the accountant prepares and documents transactions, reconciliations, schedules, and billing support. This work contributes to month-end close, financial reporting, customer billing, and government audit and compliance requirements.

What you'll do

• Prepare journal entries, accrual and prepaid schedules, and workpapers
• reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
• process accounts payable and review expense reports
• maintain fixed asset schedules
• assist with accounts receivable and collections
• maintain contract and project data
• prepare draft invoices and vouchers
• compile project cost data
• review timekeeping and labor distribution
• maintain audit-ready documentation
• support audits, internal controls, accounting systems, and recurring Excel reports.

Why this role
