The Director of HR Services role is primarily office-based in Halethorpe, MD, with occasional site visits and training delivery across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the director leads employee relations, benefits and leave, and training functions, while sharing HR department leadership with the HR Operations Manager. The role develops HR staff, supports compliance and consistent practices across locations, and uses workforce data to recommend improvements as the organization grows.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the Benefits Specialist, Employee Relations Specialist, and Retail Training Specialist
• handle escalated employee relations matters and investigations
• oversee benefits and leave compliance
• direct leadership, supervisory, onboarding, and retail training
• partner on consistent HR practices and policies
• monitor workforce trends and metrics
• support workforce planning, reporting, budgets, compliance filings, and CARF accreditation readiness.
