Personal Care Aide – Home Health Aide

Job overview

The Personal Care Aide – Home Health Aide role is onsite in Suffolk, VA, serving client homes in Suffolk, Franklin, and surrounding areas. Pay is $10–$15 per hour. Charity Care Home Health supports seniors and individuals with disabilities in remaining safe, comfortable, and independent at home. The aide provides one-on-one assistance with daily activities, companionship, and basic health-related tasks allowed by Virginia regulations and agency policy. Observing and reporting changes and following the RN-developed care plan help the home care team respond to client needs.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation
• support meal preparation, feeding if needed, and fluid intake as directed
• perform light housekeeping related to care
• maintain a safe environment and follow infection-control practices
• provide companionship
• observe and report changes in condition, mood, appetite, or home situation
• complete visit notes
• follow the RN-developed care plan and communicate concerns.

Why this role
