Restoration & Mitigation Technician

Job overview

The Restoration & Mitigation Technician role is onsite in Oak Park, MI. Pay is $21–$25 per hour based on experience. The technician supports Strong Restoration of Michigan’s property restoration work, helping customers recover from water, fire, mold, and other property damage. The role performs hands-on mitigation and cleanup, documents job sites, and helps protect customers’ homes, businesses, and belongings. It contributes to restoring affected properties and may provide a path to further technical and leadership responsibilities as skills develop.

What you'll do

• Respond to water, fire, mold, and other property-damage jobs
• perform water extraction and structural drying
• set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment
• take moisture readings and document affected areas
• remove damaged materials when needed
• assist with fire, smoke, and mold cleanup
• take job-site photos
• use hand and power tools safely
• protect customer property
• maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment
• participate in a rotating emergency/on-call schedule.
