Facilities Operations Assistant

The Facilities Operations Assistant role is onsite in Mount Pleasant, SC. Compensation is $23 per hour. At The Palms of Mount Pleasant, the facilities team helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning senior living community for residents, families, and team members. The assistant responds to service requests, performs routine and preventive maintenance, and supports projects across buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles. The work helps keep the community operational, welcoming, and compliant with safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform routine maintenance and light housekeeping throughout buildings and grounds
• complete repair and maintenance requests for apartments, common areas, equipment, and vehicles
• perform minor plumbing, electrical, appliance, painting, refurbishing, and carpentry tasks
• assist with HVAC and refrigeration systems as assigned
• maintain flooring and prepare apartments for new residents
• conduct preventive maintenance
• respond to maintenance emergencies and on-call requests as needed
• follow safety, OSHA, and life-safety requirements
• report hazards
• maintain tools and work areas
• communicate work status and priorities
• assist with special and seasonal projects.
