What you'll do
- Verify prescriptions and health-related product orders in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- implement pharmacy department policies and procedures
- support pharmacy associates and ensure courteous customer service
- assist the Pharmacy Manager with pharmacy operations
- implement audit and quality-control procedures
- identify, evaluate, and interpret prescriptions
- receive prescription orders from authorized persons
- monitor drug therapy and recognize significant interactions
- oversee pharmacy technician activities for safe and complete work
- consult with patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals
- maintain patient confidentiality and professional relationships.
