What you'll do

• Follow dietary procedures and established policies
• serve appetizing meals and assist with meal service
• follow portion-control procedures
• clean work tables, equipment, floors, utensils, and food-service areas
• set up meal trays, carts, and dining areas
• may assist with meal preparation
• distribute and collect menus
• check diet trays
• deliver food carts and trays
• prepare snacks as instructed
• follow sanitation, safety, infection-control, and universal-precautions procedures
• maintain food storage and supplies
• report hazards and incidents
• maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
