Wastewater Operator — Chemical Operations

The Wastewater Operator role is onsite at Chemtrade’s plant in Leeds, SC, with 10-hour rotating shifts on an eight-days-on, six-days-off rotation. Compensation is $29–$31 per hour. Chemtrade produces industrial chemicals, including water-treatment products such as Liquid Alum, ACH, and PAC. The role supports the plant’s chemical production process by operating equipment, handling and processing chemicals safely, monitoring process conditions, and recording production information. It also contributes to reliable plant operations through troubleshooting, inventory records, and daily upkeep.

What you'll do

• Perform chemical manufacturing operations safely
• record ingredients, weights, and temperatures
• monitor and control process equipment pressure and temperature
• operate plant equipment according to standard operating procedures
• unload tank cars
• handle, transport, and process chemicals
• document processes and production data
• operate pumps, piping, valves, and tank truck and railcar loading and unloading equipment
• troubleshoot production equipment and processes
• maintain inventory records
• operate mobile equipment including forklifts
• perform daily plant upkeep and housekeeping.
