• Coordinate construction work by priorities and plans
• organize and lead the grading crew
• produce schedules and monitor attendance
• assign daily responsibilities
• schedule aggregate quantities, deliveries, and trucking
• supervise and train workers
• ensure adequate labor and resources
• enforce safety and quality standards
• supervise machinery and equipment use
• monitor expenditures against budget
• resolve problems
• report progress to managers and engineers.
