Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Manning, SC; compensation is not specified. The position is an essential member of the patient-centered medical home team at HopeHealth. The assistant coordinates care between patients and medical providers and supports efficient clinical service delivery. The role contributes by assisting with intake, vital signs, diagnostic procedures, lab work, patient flow, records, scheduling, and patient education, while maintaining supplies and communicating with the care team.

What you'll do

• Assist providers with patient evaluation and treatment, including intake, vital signs, diagnostic procedures, and lab work
• assist with medication refills
• facilitate patient flow and room turnover
• maintain and stock work and exam areas
• perform reporting data entry and respond to calls
• prepare charts using data systems
• administer vaccines and immunizations to pediatric and/or adult patients
• maintain medical records
• schedule appointments
• educate patients and families
• help at other offices when needed
• assist with training new medical assistants.

Why this role

National Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification and BLS certification are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
