CNC Machining Center Operator II / III — Second Shift

The CNC Machining Center Operator II / III role is onsite in Saint Joseph, MI, on second shift from 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and skill level; a 15% shift premium and overtime opportunities are available. The role supports the machining team producing precision tooling and mold components, primarily for the die cast industry. The operator sets up, runs, troubleshoots, and optimizes CNC equipment while meeting machining tolerances and quality standards. The work supports the design, build, sampling, and inspection of precision molds, with advanced operators also able to mentor and provide technical support to other machinists.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment
• interpret blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions, and operational data
• select tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods
• maintain tolerances and quality standards
• inspect components with precision measuring instruments
• troubleshoot and adjust machines, tooling, and programs
• perform routine preventive maintenance
• maintain a safe, clean, organized work area
• collaborate with engineering, tooling, and production teams. Advanced operators may train, mentor, and support other machinists.
