Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional works in person in the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee, including Greeneville, Johnson City, Jonesborough, Kingsport, Elizabethton, and Bristol, for $16–$18 per hour. The role contributes to person-centered care by documenting progress and maintaining positive relationships with families, team members, and community partners.

What you'll do

• Coach, teach, and mentor individuals in home management, personal independence, individual rights, and self-advocacy
• advocate for individuals’ needs and welfare
• support community integration and participation
• develop social skills through activities and communication exercises
• document progress, behavior patterns, and skill acquisition
• maintain relationships with families, conservators, team members, and community partners
• follow scheduled shifts and record time accurately.
