Class A CDL Driver

Job overview

The Class A CDL Driver role is onsite at the Dunmore, PA site and includes long-distance deliveries, with two to three days over the road. Base pay starts at $30 per hour. Cornerstone Building Brands manufactures exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings and serves construction and repair markets. The driver transports building materials to customers, distribution centers, and construction sites using a tractor-trailer. Safe driving, cargo handling, vehicle inspections, accurate delivery records, and communication with dispatch and customers support reliable delivery operations.

What you'll do

• Transport and deliver building materials using a tractor-trailer
• load, secure, and unload cargo
• maintain delivery records, work-hour logs, and mileage records
• inspect and maintain the vehicle
• comply with traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
• plan routes using GPS and other tools
• coordinate with dispatchers and communicate with clients and coworkers
• monitor traffic and weather conditions for safe driving.

Why this role

Requires a Class A CDL, clean driving record, at least two years of truck-driving experience (preferably long-haul), ability to pass a drug screen and background check, and willingness to tarp and strap flatbed loads. Trailer-mounted forklift experience and familiarity with GPS and AVL equipment are listed. The position may require off-shift or overtime hours, including Saturdays, when needed.
