Cybersecurity Engineer

The Cybersecurity Engineer role is onsite in Reston, VA. Compensation is $80–$100 per hour. CEdge is an IT consulting firm serving federal and state government and commercial enterprises. The engineer captures and refines information-security requirements and integrates them into IT products and systems through security architecture, design, development, and configuration. The role also supports system development teams, security solution analysis, architecture roadmaps, and oversight of contractor cybersecurity engineers.

What you'll do

• Capture and refine information-security requirements and integrate them into IT products and systems
• assist in leading development teams designing, developing, or upgrading systems
• conduct product research and support analysis of alternatives
• contribute to system concepts and security designs
• assist with security architectures, roadmaps, and investments
• oversee senior-, mid-, and junior-level contractor cybersecurity engineers.
