Veterinary Technician or Assistant - Diagnostic Imaging. This is an onsite position in Middletown, CT, with pay ranging from $19.50-$21.50/hr for Assistants and $21.50-$25.00/hr for Technicians. Pieper Veterinary is a VECCS Level 1 Certified Hospital. This role exists to support the Radiology Department by assisting with or performing a range of imaging procedures, offering growth opportunities for both technician- and assistant-level applicants.

What you'll do

• Support or perform radiology (X-ray), ultrasound, echocardiography, fluoroscopy, CT, and cardiology imaging
• Assist with procedures and learn from the radiology team

What we're looking for

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

Prior experience working in a veterinary setting, ideally in an ER setting. Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and remain organized. Compassion and patience. Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology. Experience with common induction agents/anesthetic agents/analgesia agents. Must be 18 years or older.
