Ophthalmic Technician — PRN, Training Provided

What you'll do

• Facilitate patient flow
• assist the doctor with preliminary testing
• verify medical and vision insurance
• communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person
• interview patients and record medical history, medications, and visit purpose in the EMR
• assess eye condition and perform diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, autorefractor, and topography
• perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned.

Why this role

PRN position with training provided; medical or eyecare experience is highly preferred. High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience or training are required; COA or COT certification is preferred but not required. Offices operate Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; shifts fall within those hours and may run earlier or later as needed. Travel to other offices is required as needed, with mileage reimbursement.
