On-Call IT Field Technician, PC, Mac, POS and TV Mounting

The On-Call IT Field Technician role provides onsite support in Binghamton, NY, within a nationwide network of local service locations. On-site IT and POS work pays $35 per hour; outdoor TV mounting starts at $100 per mounted device and varies if a helper is required. Geeks On Site provides computer repair and technology support for homes and businesses, both remotely and onsite. The technician handles customer technology service calls, troubleshooting computers and networks, configuring printers, and replacing or upgrading hardware. Depending on experience, assignments may also include POS support, cabling, outdoor TV mounting, and basic audiovisual setup; technicians accept jobs based on their availability and service radius.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues
• resolve Wi-Fi, router, and wired network problems
• install and configure printers and scanners
• replace or upgrade hardware
• reinstall operating systems
• document work and communicate with customers
• install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup as assigned.
