The Telepsychiatrist, California Licensed role is 100% remote telepsychiatry supporting Alliance for Wellness partner hospitals throughout Southern California. The posting lists $1,600 per 12-hour AM shift or $1,800 per 12-hour PM shift. Alliance for Wellness partners with inpatient and outpatient hospitals and primarily supports Crisis Stabilization Units. The psychiatrist evaluates and treats patients remotely, provides clinical guidance to onsite teams, and documents care in hospital electronic medical records, contributing to coordinated psychiatric care across partner settings.

What you'll do

• Conduct video or telephone consultations
• perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnose patients
• prescribe and administer medications within applicable legal limits, excluding controlled substances and DEA-scheduled narcotics
• advise onsite nursing staff and consult with physicians
• refer patients to specialists and services
• collaborate with onsite providers
• document interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans in hospital EMRs
• primarily support Crisis Stabilization Units, with occasional consultations from emergency departments or other partner settings.
