Autonomous Vehicle Shift Lead

The Autonomous Vehicle Shift Lead role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA. Compensation is $44 per hour. The role supports field collection shifts by coordinating Validation Specialists and reporting shift metrics and blockers to the Team Manager. The shift lead serves as the operational and technical point of contact during field collection. The role helps keep teams and equipment ready, resolves or escalates field issues, and ensures inspection and data-logging protocols are followed.

What you'll do

• Coordinate shift check-ins and assign planned routes and schedules
• monitor field collection progress and adjust schedules in real time
• review and sign off on pre- and post-trip vehicle and onboard hardware inspections
• troubleshoot hardware, software, and sensor issues
• document errors, anomalies, lost collection time, and route blockers
• provide end-of-shift debriefs
• guide Validation Specialists on protocols and data logging
• escalate safety or compliance issues to management. Availability for variable shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends, is required.
