What you'll do

• Operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations.
• Prepares patients for radiological procedures and takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develops and processes films and transmits to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensures prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system.
• Turns over and prepares room using aseptic technique between patients and cleans/sterilizes equipment.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What we're looking for

Education

Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology

Experience

24 continuing education credits bi-annually
