What you'll do

• Restrain patients safely for examinations and procedures
• assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and treatments
• prepare exam rooms, surgical suites, and treatment areas
• clean and sterilize medical equipment
• collect patient histories and record medical information
• assist with laboratory sample collection and processing
• administer medications as permitted by state regulations
• provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
• educate clients on basic pet care, medications, and discharge instructions
• maintain a clean and organized hospital environment.
