Consumer Loan Processor

Job overview

The Consumer Loan Processor role is hybrid in Lowell, MA, with at least one to two days per week in the office. Pay is $20–$24 per hour. The role supports Align Credit Union’s consumer lending operations and works directly with consumer loan underwriters, reporting to the Consumer Loan Supervisor. The processor reviews loan requests, gathers underwriting and funding documents, and prepares and completes loan closings. Accurate processing and timely document handling support members and the credit union’s lending workflow.

What you'll do

• Review consumer loan requests and gather supporting documentation for underwriting and funding
• mail Adverse Action Notices and upload related documents to the imaging system
• prepare documents for in-branch closings and electronic closings
• fund electronic closings and deliver documents electronically
• confirm required signatures
• process promotional credit-card documents and order forms
• take applications by phone or internet and enter them into the loan origination system
• answer calls in consumer-loan and underwriting queues.
