The role supports Sonatus’s AI team in developing production-grade Edge AI for software-defined vehicles. The engineer leads development of models that analyze vehicle logs, traces, and internal signals to monitor subsystem health and anticipate failures. Ownership spans the machine-learning pipeline from data ingestion and training through deployment and optimization on resource-constrained edge devices, contributing to fleet reliability and vehicle software development.

What you'll do

• Build and train Edge AI models for application logs, kernel traces, and multimodal data
• integrate machine-learning flows, including cloud-based LLM APIs and synthetic data creation
• develop log clustering and software-regression detection
• design models to monitor CAN bus and sensor time-series data
• correlate signal anomalies with system events
• optimize PyTorch or TensorFlow models for CPU, GPU, or embedded NPU targets
• apply quantization, pruning, distillation, and memory optimization
• define on-device data filtering strategy
• lead edge ML pipeline architecture and mentor junior engineers.
