Excavator Operator

What you'll do

• Operate excavators to dig, move, and load soil, rock, and debris
• interpret construction plans and blueprints
• conduct pre-start checks and basic maintenance
• report equipment defects
• coordinate with supervisors, operators, and crews
• follow safety procedures and identify hazards
• load excavated materials onto trucks
• clear and prepare construction sites
• perform other assigned tasks.
