What you'll do

• Perform routine vision and eye-health examinations
• diagnose, treat, and manage eye disorders, diseases, and injuries
• prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses
• conduct refraction testing and optical measurements
• supervise ophthalmic technicians and assistants
• order testing and provide referrals and patient letters
• advise patients on eye care.
