Water Restoration Technician

Job overview

The Water Restoration Technician role is onsite in Savannah, GA. Pay is $19–$25 per hour. ServiceMaster Restoration Services responds to disaster damage by assessing needs, coordinating restoration work, and following up with customers and insurance representatives. The technician helps restore water-damaged properties by identifying damage, extracting water, setting and monitoring drying equipment, and completing approved cleanup and demolition tasks. Accurate documentation, site upkeep, and communication with coordinators and insurance adjusters support timely, satisfactory restoration.

What you'll do

• Identify the source and scope of water damage
• perform water extraction
• set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and other equipment
• remove and dispose of non-salvageable flooring
• move or pack out contents as needed
• perform light construction demolition upon approval and hard-surface cleaning
• document losses with pictures and job-monitoring software
• maintain job-site and equipment cleanliness
• update the water coordinator and tracking software daily
• communicate with insurance adjusters or agents
• participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service calls and inclement weather.
