Universal Prekindergarten Lead Teacher

The Universal Prekindergarten Lead Teacher works onsite in Watervliet, NY, at Watervliet Elementary School. Starting pay is $20 per hour. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area’s mission is to help young people realize their potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The teacher plans and delivers curriculum-aligned instruction for children ages 3–4, fostering academic and social-emotional development. The role also guides a teaching assistant, monitors student health and safety, and maintains classroom records and progress reports.

What you'll do

• Develop weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and student needs
• deliver hands-on classroom activities
• collaborate with and coach the teaching assistant
• prepare lesson materials
• provide progress reports, attendance records, and other required paperwork
• follow health and safety procedures and report student wellness concerns
• ensure students and staff know emergency procedures.
