The assistant supports lead teachers and the director in providing a safe, caring classroom and developmentally appropriate learning activities. The role helps implement curriculum, observe and document children’s interests and progress, and communicate with families and staff.

What you'll do

• Assist with curriculum activities and encourage children’s participation
• engage in classroom activities and maintain clean, orderly, available materials
• communicate with parents through discussions and progress reports
• model self-help and hygiene
• support daily transitions from home to the center
• follow center policies and state regulations
• maintain a professional development plan.
