Special Education Elementary Teacher

Compensation is $38–$48 per hour. The Special Education Elementary Teacher role is onsite in Moncks Corner, SC, in a school setting. Pediatric Developmental Services provides teachers and pediatric therapists to public school districts, charter schools, and communities, with a stated mission to make a difference in children’s lives. The teacher develops and delivers individualized instruction for students, supports academic and behavioral progress, and works with families, school staff, and on-site therapists. The role contributes to a safe, productive classroom and students’ educational development.

What you'll do

• Create and execute IEPs
• communicate with staff and families about student progress and challenges
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• involve families in educational progress
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• confer with on-site therapists about behavioral issues
• maintain a safe, productive classroom.
