Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role is onsite in Effingham, IL, with weekly rounds Monday–Friday, approximately 7 a.m.–4 p.m. (flexible start time). Part-time work is 2–3 days per week; full-time work is 4–5 days per week. The posting projects $170,000–$180,000 annually for full-time providers. AmeriWound provides wound care services in long-term care facilities. The provider assesses and treats wounds, documents patient encounters, and coordinates care with facility staff. The role supports patient wound healing through regular facility rounds, appropriate procedures, clear treatment communication, and referrals when needed.

What you'll do

• Round weekly at assigned facilities within the territory
• diagnose patient conditions through physical examination and/or telemedicine
• perform procedures such as debridement as necessary
• collaborate with facility clinical staff
• explain diagnoses and treatment goals to patients
• document encounters in the APRIMA EMR and maintain records
• facilitate referrals as needed.
