• Assess and monitor patients’ physical and emotional status

• coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
• administer ordered medications and document appropriately
• monitor for complications and recovery
• maintain sterile technique
• handle tissue specimens
• prepare discharge instructions
• follow safety, privacy, regulatory, and quality procedures.
