Registered Charge Nurse

The Registered Charge Nurse role is onsite in Sisseton, SD; compensation is not specified. The position directs nursing services across patient-care units and supports the delivery of patient care. It also helps maintain staffing coverage and may assume responsibility for the Nursing Department in the Chief Nursing Officer’s absence, with the aid of the CEO.

What you'll do

• Direct and supervise nursing staff and other personnel on duty
• assign and coordinate nursing activities
• maintain contact with patients and assist with care plans
• review staff charting
• complete the daily Charge Nurse Checklist
• coordinate with other departments
• assess patient nursing needs and evaluate care quality
• identify staffing needs for current and following shifts
• report incidents
• support Nursing Department operations in the Chief Nursing Officer’s absence with the CEO’s aid.
