Environmental Intern

The Environmental Intern role is onsite in Portsmouth, NH. Compensation is $25–$27 per hour. The intern joins Loureiro Engineering Associates’ Environmental team, supporting environmental assessment, investigation, remediation, compliance, and engineering projects. The intern assists experienced environmental scientists, geologists, and engineers with fieldwork, technical analysis, regulatory research, and project documentation. The work contributes to client projects by supporting data collection, environmental systems, compliance activities, and technical deliverables.

What you'll do

• Assist with environmental field investigations and sampling
• support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• assist with soil borings and monitoring wells
• collect water-level measurements and support surveying and aquifer testing
• monitor remediation systems
• perform applicable calculations and analyses
• review environmental data
• prepare technical documentation
• research regulations
• assist with permitting and reports
• and follow safety and quality procedures.
