The Drill Operator (Construction) role is onsite in Middlebury village, VT, with compensation of $24–$30 per hour depending on experience, plus a daily travel stipend. The operator supports construction or quarry drilling work for Maine Drilling & Blasting, a growing, majority employee-owned company. The role exists to safely operate drilling equipment and complete drilling activity according to the job program and planned production. It contributes to field operations by maintaining equipment, executing drill patterns, tracking supplies, communicating site conditions, and completing accurate field reports.

What you'll do

• Perform construction or quarry drilling according to the job program
• follow safety policies and procedures
• maintain assigned equipment, including Epiroc top hammer drills
• execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman
• manage drill supplies and accessories
• communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blasting Supervisor
• complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards
• participate in meetings
• complete Driller I and Driller II training certifications.

Why this role

Requires 5+ years of hydraulic equipment operating experience, one year of construction experience, construction laborer experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable truck transportation. Epiroc top hammer drill experience or similar is preferred.
